The Power of a Goddess Bath: A Guide to Spiritual Cleansing

Are you feeling weighed down by negativity, stress, or blocked energy? It's time to take a calming and purifying Goddess Bath. This kind of bath is much more than just a typical bath. It involves creating an intentional, sacred space where you can connect with your spirit and the divine.

A goddess bath, spiritual bath, ritual bath or what ever you want to name it is different from your normal bath because of the intention. This is a symbolic act of cleansing the body, mind, spirit of anything we may have picked up during the day and draws in our manifestations. Remember you are an altar. Altars must be cleaned, given reverence to, blessed and adorned and we do this in our goddess bath. A goddess bath is like a little baptism that we create in our bathrooms so every herb, candle and crystal needs to be intentional. Water is where we go to for healing use this guide to create a sanctuary in your home.

First thing first , be mindful of the ingredients used in your bath. Some products could throw off your PH balance so be mindful that the products you are using are safe and organic.

Secondly, there are a few ways to take a spiritual bath so if you do not have a tub you can take the traditional route of taking boiling your herbs and letting them cool, Take a regular shower and then pour your herbs over your crown and let the herbal mixture cleanse you. Strain your herbs too to avoid your tub getting clogged.

The following steps will help you unleash your inner goddess and harness the power of a ritual bath.

Steps

  1. The Intention and Prep work: You can buy a Pre-made bath from almost anywhere or you can take the time to make it yourself. Be very intentional. Decide what you want to draw in( money, self-love, protection, cleansing, joy, hope or cord cutting ). Pull out your calendar and your moon guide! What moon phase would be best for each intention? New moons are great for calling in something to manifest. Full moons are great to release and let go. Also look at the sign of the moon is in and that will tell you the energy it is in. For example we have a Full moon in Capricorn coming up. Capricorn is earth energy that is about structure, foundation and finance. Think about what money block you want to let go of and create your bath accordingly. Now that we have our intention and our schedules let us do our prep work. Make sure you bathroom is cleaned( bleached down, towels and rags are cleaned, and fully saged. We are goddesses. We clean shit.) Now pick out your herbs, oils, salts and crystals. Lay them out in the sunlight or moonlight to charge with your intentions. You have to give your tools a job and activate them.

  2. Setting the mood: Spiritual baths don’t have to be just cold water and tears. They are also ultimate self-care. Get your vibe right with a playlist of healing music, candles, books, podcast, silk robes, CBD, goddess water, wine and a healthy snack…or not healthy…that’s your business.

  3. Creating the ritual: Because you are a Goddess and Goddesses are clean you are going to bathe already cleaned. Take a shower before hand with your favorite soap. Meditate and envision the water washing away any negative energy. Next draw your bath. If you have your herbs ready you can place them in a sachet and throw them into the hot water or boil, strain and add the mixture. You should not be taking baths in fruit and flowers. Your bath should look like a tea. Create a crystal grid around your tub and add any other things that make you happy. Light your candles and say your protection prayer( remember candles are the light switch for spirits and you already have the atmosphere going to let them in). Step into the tub and take a rest. Close your eyes, allow for a few breathes and practice visualization. Use a guided meditation if needed. Once you feel like your ritual is complete step out of the bath and pat dry with a white towel.

Once you are done, drain the water while visualizing all the negativity and tension being washed away with it. You should feel refreshed, balanced and light. Take a deep breath and step out of the bath feeling like a true goddess. Goddess bath are best done late at night. If you are doing the version without the tub do not forget to pat dry with a white towel as well. As you soak in your bath, meditate on your intentions and visualize your energy being purified and renewed. Focus on taking deep breaths, letting go of any thoughts or emotions that are not serving you. Stay in the bath for at least 15-20 minutes or as long as you like.

In conclusion, taking a Goddess Bath can help you reclaim your power and restore balance to your mind, body, and soul. It's a simple but powerful form of self-care that can be done whenever you feel the need to connect with your divine essence. Give it a try and see the transformative effects it can have on your life.
